Patient will not have episodes of aspiration or choking
Care_Plan_PLAN/APPROACH

  1. Speech Therapy/evaluation and treatment as needed 

  2.  Encourage patient to participate in speech therapy 

  3. Patient and/or family education regarding dysphagia and safety 

  4. Supervise and or assist patient during meals 

  5.  Out of bed or elevate head of bed for all meals 

  6. Mechanically altered diet as appropriate
